Our volunteers are at the heart of Ipswich Furniture Project, from the Charity's Trustees, to those assisting us in the collection and delivery of furniture and white goods. They support all aspects of our work, not just on the vans, but helping the running our retail outlets, electrical repair and cleaning, to supporting our IT and HR functions.
We have a wide selection of roles available to volunteers and also offer tailored opportunities to utilise individual talents. We are committed to matching volunteers' interests, skills and aspirations to the roles we assign to ensure a positive and rewarding experience wherever possible.
Volunteering enables us to engage with local communities on an individual level, with companies through corporate social responsibility and with other partner agencies. We can work with currently serving and ex-offender programmes. We are both vigilant and thorough in our risk assessment processes and work within the terms of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and Equal Opportunities Act.
All our volunteers support the delivery of our charitable objectives and are a vital part of our daily ability to provide our service.
